About the Lindner College of Business

The UC Center for Business Analytics (CBA) was founded more than 12 years ago to create an ecosystem for business analytics and data science among students, faculty, practitioners, and leaders seeking to build sustainable analytics capability in their organizations. The CBA has been recognized for its excellence in connecting academia to industry practice in analytics. The CBA provides four types of services to member organizations: leadership forums, conferences, professional development training courses, and student projects. 

Job Overview

This Program Coordinator role has responsibility for the financial, operational, and data infrastructure of the CBA, serving as the backbone that enables every workstream to operate smoothly and at scale. They work closely with the Executive Director and interact with every other member of the Center, to oversee contracts, invoicing, payments, purchasing, expense management, and financial reporting across all CBA pillars; facilitate student hiring and payroll; coordinate operational logistics and institutional relationships (HR, Facilities, Business Affairs); and ensure policy compliance and fiscal stewardship. In parallel, the role supports the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of CBA’s data framework, visualization platforms, and Salesforce environment, maintaining accurate, integrated data across Memberships, Trainings, Events, Projects, Financials, and Operations to enable integrated reporting, data-driven decision making, and validation of member value.

This position will have the option of a hybrid work schedule (2 days in the office/3 days work from home)for those with a residence within OH/IN/KY following 90 days of training. Residence must be in the tri-state area within reasonable distance to UC Main Campus to have ability to report to campus as required. Remote work arrangements are subject to change in accordance with university policies. 

Essential Functions

Operations & Payment Coordination

  • Serve as the CBA liaison to LCB Human Resources, Facilities, and Business Affairs. 
  • Coordinate catering and logistical needs for CBA events, meetings, and trainings. 
  • Coordinate contracts, invoicing, and support payment delivery and collection processes across CBA’s 4 pillars (membership, events, trainings, and projects) 
  • Attend monthly requisitioner and operational coordination calls and support requisition related workflows
  • Coordinate instructor and facilitator payment administration in accordance with university procedures.
  • Support the student hiring lifecycle for graduate assistants, internal and external projects - including payroll coordination and compliance.
  • Partner with internal units to ensure student employment processes align with university policies and timelines
  • Support continuous improvement of CBA operations through process optimization and documentation.

Financial Coordination & Reporting

  • Execute periodic financial reconciliations, tracking and reporting across pillars and by member organizations.
  • Reconcile event registrations and revenue between registration site, payment processor and UC accounting system.
  • Process PCard transactions, purchase requests, and expense submissions.
  • Assist with in-kind agreement documentation for memberships.
  • Support limited term contracts for speakers and instructors and payments to these individuals.
  • Participate in monthly financial, business analytics, and operations calls.
  • Respond to routine and ad hoc financial inquiries, escalating complex issues as appropriate.
  • Assist with faculty fund tracking and documentation.
  • Apply and follow established university policies and procedures; escalate policy questions as needed.
  • Serve as a day-to-day contact with Business Affairs for routine financial processing questions.

Additional Essential Functions

Data, Systems & Platform Management

  • Support the development and implementation of a CBA data framework and data visualization platform.
  • Maintain and enhance datasets related to:
    • CBA Memberships
    • CBA Events
    • CBA Projects
    • CBA Trainings
    • CBA’s Financial Data
  • Perform ongoing data updates, quality checks, and documentation to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Support ongoing maintenance of the data framework and visualization platform.
  • Maintain Salesforce data and assist with routine system updates and reporting.

Required Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in business administration, finance, operations, business analytics, or another related field.
  • Five (5) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Required Experience

One (1) year of program coordination and financial or business analytics experience

 

Additional Qualifications Considered

  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft 365 tools for tracking, reporting, and operational coordination.
  • Familiarity with self-serve financial / analytical platforms, data visualization tools (i.e. Power of BI, Tableau), and excel analytics
  • Knowledge of UC systems (UCFlex, Concur, PACE, Touchnet, Salesforce, etc.)

Salary/Hourly Pay Rate Information: Competitive starting salary of $52,000 annually with room for future career progression
