Job Overview

Enrollments Management Office of Admissions is hiring a Director of Admissions Visits & Event Experience who will serve as the strategic and operational leader for all prospective student visit experiences and major recruitment events. This role shapes the first impression for thousands of students and families each year, ensuring the University of Cincinnati delivers welcoming, high-impact, and brand-aligned experiences that drive interest, enrollment, and yield. The Director oversees the full portfolio of campus visits, tours, and signature events; leads the Welcome Center; manages professional and student staff teams; and aligns visitor experiences with institutional enrollment goals. The successful candidate is an experienced leader with a passion for student engagement and a track record of designing exceptional visit experiences. They bring strong operational discipline, creativity, and a commitment to service excellence. They thrive in collaborative environments and are energized by fast-paced, high-volume work that directly impacts enrollment outcomes.

Essential Functions

New Student Experience Strategy

• Own and evolve the university’s visit and event strategy across the new student and yield recruitment funnel

• Design experiences that convert interest into enrollment and commitment

• Ensure all visits and events reinforce UC’s brand, value proposition, and sense of belonging

Visits & Welcome Center Operations

• Oversee daily visit programming, tours, and on-campus experiences

• Lead Welcome Center operations including front desk services for guests, families, and partners

• Set service standards, training models, and experience expectations

Event Leadership

• Lead all Central Admissions events, including:

  • Daily visits
  • all recruitment and yield events across all populations
  • Decision Day
  • EM Update Day
  • Special yield and pipeline programming

• Partner with EM offices on shared enrollment events and initiatives

Operational & Team Leadership

• Directly supervise professional staff and student employees supporting visits and events

• Establish staffing models, schedules, training, and performance expectations

• Build scalable systems that reduce burnout and increase consistency

Budget & Vendor Management

• Manage event and visit budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships

• Optimize spend toward highest-yield experiences

Data, Assessment & Continuous Improvement

• Use visit, event, and yield data to refine strategy

• Track conversion, attendance, satisfaction, and ROI

• Produce reports and insights for AVP and EM leadership

Required Education

Bachelor’s Degree

Required Experience

  • Seven (7) years of admissions experience.
  • Previous supervisory experience.

Additional Qualifications Considered

  • Master’s Degree.
  • Experience with Slate or other relevant CRM tools.

Salary/Hourly Pay Rate Information: $90,000 -$95,000
