Job Overview
Lead a dynamic team responsible for shaping and executing digital marketing strategies focused on student engagement and conversion across online associate, bachelor’s, and master’s degree programs. Oversee campaign performance, provide strategic oversight, and guide marketing strategies to align with enrollment goals and institutional priorities. Collaborate with both internal teams and external partners to optimize digital campaigns to aid in student recruitment. In addition to providing guidance on digital strategies, drive innovation, ensure alignment with university branding, and foster a data-driven approach to marketing, leveraging insights and analytics to inform decision-making. This role is critical to maximizing engagement, conversion rates, and overall program success.
Essential Functions
- Lead a team of online marketing specialists to develop and implement innovative strategies that drive student engagement and conversion. Provide guidance for specialists and lead by example on best practices, ensuring alignment with goals and operational efficiency for the team.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to align marketing strategies with institutional goals, delivering creative and data-driven solutions.
- Provide strategic oversight and insights to inform resource allocation, guiding overall digital marketing strategy for online degree programs. Oversee strategy development of specialists to ensure consistency and alignment with program budgets.
- Oversee the development and execution of personalized, data-driven marketing campaigns through Salesforce and Marketing Cloud to maximize the student recruitment funnel.
- Continuously monitor and enhance campaign performance across PPC/paid search, paid social, retargeting, and display media campaigns, ensuring alignment with enrollment goals.
- Work closely with university stakeholders to ensure campaigns align with specific college goals, tailoring strategies to meet their needs and priorities.
- Collaborate with Central Marketing & Communications to ensure digital marketing efforts align with overall university branding and messaging strategies.
- Maintain regular communication with stakeholders, providing performance updates, insights, and opportunities for improvement.
- Analyze campaign data using advanced analytics tools to generate actionable insights, detailed reports, and recommendations for future marketing strategies.
Additional Essential Functions
- Translate data findings into performance improvement plans, collaborating with the agency of record and internal data teams to optimize ROI.
- Ensure that all digital marketing campaigns comply with university policies and industry standards, including accessibility (e.g., WCAG) guidelines.
- Stay current with digital marketing trends and emerging technologies, implementing new tools and strategies to maintain a competitive edge in student recruitment.
- Participate in on-campus workshops and professional development opportunities related to marketing and student engagement.
- Build strong relationships with vendors and agencies, ensuring alignment with marketing objectives and driving performance enhancements.
- Provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.).

Required Education
- Bachelor's Degree
- Seven (7) years of relevant education, experience and/or other specialized training can fulfill minimum education and experience requirements.
Required Experience
- Three (3) years of experience in product or service marketing, including digital marketing strategy, campaign planning, SEO, PPC, and CRM utilization.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, and advanced analytics tools.
- Demonstrated ability to lead data-driven marketing strategies and optimize campaign performance.
- Knowledge of current digital marketing trends and experience with PPC, SEO, and paid social strategies.
- Ability to oversee multiple campaigns and initiatives simultaneously, ensuring timely execution and alignment with institutional goals.
- Strategic mindset, passion for student engagement, and ability to lead a team in driving successful digital marketing campaigns.
