Job Overview
Provide support and resources for current and new online, in person, and/or hybrid courses.
Ensure support and knowledge materials are consistent with sound instructional design principles and standards. Work closely with service owners for learning technology, systems, and resources.
This position will have the option of a hybrid work schedule (3 days in the office/2 days work from home) for those with a residence within OH/IN/KY following 90 days of training. Residence must be in the tri-state area within reasonable distance to UC Main Campus to have ability to report to campus as required. Remote work arrangements are subject to change in accordance with university policies.
Essential Functions
- Create support guidance, knowledge resources and documented best practices for online tools and courses, e.g. LMS, digital text, graphics, animation, audio, and video.
- Develop multimedia and/or computer based interactive instruction applications and material that include such elements as moving video, sound, computer animation, and text for faculty use in classes, as well as for departmental needs. Use a variety of technologies including greenscreen and lightboard in Lindner production studio. including greenscreen and lightboard in Lindner production studio.
- Function as a recorder, producer, director, and editor for multimedia projects ensuring coordination of all media and technical elements including narration, computer graphics, audio and visual effects, recording, mixing and transmission as appropriate to the project. Upload finished product into UC’s enterprise video and recording repository software or other service as requested.
- Coordinate with subject matter experts to develop knowledge resources and best practices in order to support the delivery of online and in person courses, including LMS support.
- Review all online and in person course content for accuracy and logical flow.
- Keep current with accessibility issues, compatibility issues and emerging technologies as appropriate for online learning materials and management systems. Conduct testing of new tools and features in order to provide guidance to the community.
- Consult with faculty, staff and students in order to document how technology is being used, particularly around best practices for multimedia content and development, both in the production studio and on their own using UC’s enterprise video and recording repositor software.
- Maintain a collaborative relationship and open communication with university community.

Required Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
- Four (4) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to listen, respond, and relate to faculty and staff - to explain things clearly to people who may not be very familiar with multimedia products.
- Demonstrate teamwork and a willingness to share knowledge and expertise to achieve common goals.
