Job Overview
The Office of Undergraduate Admissions is searching for an Assistant Director at, the UC Transfer Center, to engage and support prospective students in all phases of the recruitment process to advance UC's strategic enrollment goals.
As a member of the Transfer Center Team, this role will focus on transfer student, adult learner, veteran, and military student recruitment. The Assistant Director's responsibilities also include supervising a group of Transfer Advisors and serving as a liaison with key institutional and external partners. This role reports to the Director of the UC Transfer Center. A successful candidate is highly collaborative and demonstrates an understanding of best practices in recruiting, advising, and enrolling transfer students, adult learners, veterans, and military students.
This position will offer flexibility for a hybrid remote work option for applicants with a residence within the Cincinnati Tri-State Area.
Essential Functions
- May coordinate student recruitment for assigned geographic area.
- May advise a limited caseload of prospective transfer students about how to meet their educational, professional, and personal goals.
- Recommend, implement, and interpret internal rules, policies, procedures, controls, and manage processes to advance service levels.
- Assist with administrative leadership of exempt and non-exempt staff.
- Orient, train, and mentor staff; monitor and coordinate staff development and training programs.
- Compile data required for internal and external reports and assessments; interpret and disseminate information, provide advice, assist in development of advising materials, deliver presentations, ensure that advising programs and services comply with university, state, and federal regulations.
- Serve on various university, division, and departmental committees.
- Represent the department at various state and national associations. May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.).
- Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.
Required Education
- Bachelor's Degree
- Eight (8) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Salary/Hourly Pay Rate Information: $63,000
