Primary Duties
The purpose of this position is to provide support to the Recruitment Team in the College of Education, Criminal Justice, Human Services & Information Technology (CECH). In this role, the student worker will assist in all areas of recruitment (undergraduate and graduate) and provide ongoing support throughout the year. Students who work in this role will be tasked with representing the College, Office of the Dean and the Student Services Center.
- Manage weekly College Close-Ups:
- Pre:
- Create/restock folders and info slips
- Ensure the presentation room is clean and organized
- Retrieve students from Pavilion and bring to CECH
- Knowledgeable of basic information for CECH programs
- Set up for Close-Up
- Post:
- Write and send thank you notes to attendees
- Other:
- Provide student perspective and/or building tour during Close-Up when available
- Pre:
- Prospective Student Outreach
- Making daily calls to prospective students and assisting them through the admissions process
- Manage student inquiry process
- Input data from lead cards to SLATE
- Mail and/or email College and program information and admitted stickers
- Create data reports when needed
- Maintain inventory of all recruitment materials and supplies
- Create and maintain inventory management process at least once a semester
- Notify Recruitment Team when any materials and/or supplies need to be reordered
- Order business cards when needed
- Ensure storage spaces are stocked, always organized and clean
- Prepare materials for all events
- Stay up to date on upcoming events to prepare in advance
- Maintain prepped folders or Open Houses, Bearcat Brunches, campus visits, etc.
- Prepare other materials as needed
- Maintain recruitment calendar of events
- Enter new events into recruitment calendar in Asana and campus link
- Assist recruitment team with event registration as needed
- Ensure the calendar is always kept up to date
- Meet with Recruitment Team as needed
- Serve as CECH Student Ambassador liaison
- Delegate tasks to Ambassadors
- Ensure students sign-up for events
- Other duties/projects as assigned
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Student in the College of Education, Criminal Justice, Human Services & Information Technology (CECH),
- 2.0 GPA or higher (University or high school)
- Enrolled at least part-time (one or more credit hours if at a post-secondary institution), except for summer term, or will be a registered student during the next academic term.
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- “Enrollment” shall include:
- The period between two successive terms for which the student is enrolled.
- The one “off” term in each academic year in which the student is not enrolled. Student employee status may be retained for one additional term following either graduation or withdrawal from enrollment.
Availability
- Work a minimum of 15 hours, up to 24 hours, a week; up to 40 hours during breaks and summer
- Flexible scheduling – need to be available between the hours of 8a-5p

Salary
- $14 per hour

Physical Requirements
As a UC student employee, and employee of an Ohio public institution, if hired you will not contribute to the federal Social Security system, other than contributions to Medicare. Instead, UC employees have the option to contribute to a state retirement plan (OPERS, STRS) or an alternative retirement plan (ARP).
