(Work Study Student Worker)

(This is an OFF-Campus work location)

 

SALARY RANGE

$10.10 - $10.50 Hourly

 

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:   Implements recreation activities either by providing direct service or by providing supervision of those implementing recreation activities. May assist in the planning and promotion of an activity/program or be responsible for the development, planning, and implementation of a recreation program. May use a specific skill needed to implement a specialized recreation program. May also be responsible for a revenue collection process. Must be willing to work other than normal work hours.  Must demonstrate an ability to lead participants in a specific recreation activity. Must be willing to take direction from supervisors and managers. Must have excellent interpersonal skills. Must follow Department of Recreation rules, regulations and guidelines, especially those relating to safety, customer service, and finance.

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:   Recreation Program Leader must be 18 years of age or older. Must demonstrate the ability to plan, supervise and coordinate all elements of a recreation program. Must be willing to work with minimum supervision. May be required to wear Department of Recreation clothing items.  Must have a FEDERAL WORK STUDY award for 2018-2019 academic year.
