Visiting Assistant Professor - Quantitative Research Methods

The University of Cincinnati is seeking to fill a one-year visiting assistant professor faculty position with the potential for a second year of funding in the Research Methods subunit of the School of Education. Primary responsibilities will be to teach introductory and advanced graduate courses in quantitative research methods, including courses in design, measurement, and/or statistics; assist in mentoring graduate students; collaborating with colleagues to secure research funding; and participate in service activities.

Minimum Qualifications
By August 2019, candidates must have an earned doctorate in quantitative research methods or a related field with demonstrated strong methodological expertise. Candidates must have extensive knowledge of quantitative approaches with specializations in measurement and/or statistics and experience supporting the application of these methods to substantive social sciences research area(s). The successful candidate should have a demonstrated track record of effective teaching in the area of applied quantitative research methods with topics including introductory statistics, statistical inference, data analytics, regression and measurement. A record of scholarship in areas relevant to the position and potential for providing methodological support for research funding is required.  

Ideal candidates will also have experience that allows them to teach courses using R and at least one of SAS and/or SPSS. Candidates who have prior experience working collaboratively with colleagues using a diverse array of research methodologies are preferred.
