Job Overview

The University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor Program Director position for the Health Care Support Technician program within the Allied Health Department to begin July 1, 2022. UC Blue Ash College is one of the largest regional colleges in Ohio and one of the largest and most diverse colleges at the University of Cincinnati. We offer primarily associate degrees in career and transition programs as well as general education courses and technical baccalaureate degrees to approximately 4500 students. Essential Functions

  • All positions require proficiency in English and excellent information literacy/computer skills.
  • Program Director responsibilities include teaching courses within the Health Care Support Technician associate degree program and other courses within the Allied Health Department;
  • Creating and maintaining clinical affiliation agreements, setting up initial and continued accreditation and licensing requirements, supervising and evaluating students in the clinical lab and practicum settings;
  • Participating in recruitment, academic advising, program resource development, and other program, department, college, and university functions.
  • Utilize electronic media in the office, classroom, and laboratory settings,
  • Move and operate health-related equipment,
  • Communicate effectively and immediately with others in verbal and written form,
  • Interpret environmental cues, audio and visual stimuli, and respond immediately as necessary,
  • Engage in classroom, laboratory, and clinical activities for a sustained period. This includes frequent standing and walking for 3-5 hours.

Minimum Requirements

Registered Nurse (RN) with a MINIMUM of an associate degree in nursing AND a master's degree in related field (Nursing, Health Education, etc.); 2 years successful classroom teaching experience in a high school Career Center or college nursing program with knowledge of course development, instruction, evaluation, and academic advising; recent experience setting up accreditation and licensing requirements; and recent professional experience. CPR certified at the level of Health Care Provider and Instructor through the American Heart Association and be able to competently teach and administer CPR.


All applicants must also possess the visual acuity necessary to read, compute, and identify objects correctly.
