Job Overview

Coordinate a comprehensive program of student services for Housing and Food Services.

Essential Functions

  • Advise students and other constituencies with expertise in one or more areas pertaining to Housing and Food Services (application process, cashiers, collections). Manage all service-related inquiries. Collect and record payments for various housing charges per departmental policies. Analyze status of student records.
  • Assign students to housing based on program needs.
  • Resolve complex problems, work with appropriate staff to develop and implement intervention strategies using professional counseling techniques. Make expert referrals as needed.
  • Supervise a desk assistant staff of 20-25 undergraduate and graduate students. Recruit, train and develop desk assistants, coordinate desk schedule and approving of shift switches, serve as payroll timekeeper, hold staff appropriately accountable for performance through regular meetings and annual evaluations.
  • Design, develop, implement, and coordinate programs for students and other customers.
  • May participate in performing one or more of the following duties:  mentor new hired University Service Associates’ (USA’s); hire, train and supervise student assistants; serve as team leader for scheduling and other management activities; coordinate USA training program.
  • Serve in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergency assignment needs.

Required Education

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Five (5) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Required Experience

One (1) year of experience as a service provider.
