Job Overview

The Preparatory and Community Engagement Department of the University of Cincinnati College-‐Conservatory of Music seeks a Suzuki String Collaborative Pianist. CCM Prep is an accredited school that offers classes, lessons and performing opportunities for students of all ages and abilities in music, theater and dance. Over 1,000 students participate in programs, classes and summer arts camps. 

Essential Functions

  • Accompany solo and group Suzuki Strings Students for classes, recitals, and community performances. 
  • Communicate with Suzuki team and CCM Prep staff regularly.
  • Annual meeting with CCM Prep faculty. 
  • (Potentially) teach private piano lessons.

Minimum Requirements

  • Proven experience in piano performance and accompanying. 
  • Ability to be flexible and work independently. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work with general public and staff.
  • Travel to offsite location (primarily Hyde Park School). 
  • Availability Wednesdays 5:15-6:45pm during the academic year. 
  • Familiarity with the Suzuki method and repertoire.
