The Freestore / Foodbank is currently looking for a Media Marketing Service Learning Co-op for their Cincinnati location.
This individual would assist with various activities including copywriting, updating, editing and crafting press releases, documenting media coverage, updating media calendar and assistanting with public relationships activities and other media tasks. One will be responsible for keeping the social media (calendar, metrics, content, postings) on all platforms including telling our story in printed marketing materials and through the website. Continue to performed other duties related to public relations and marketing.
Minimun Qualifications
- Must be age 16 or older.
- Must be enrolled at least part-time (6 credit hours for undergraduate students and 5 credit hours for graduate students), with the exception of summer quarter, or will be a registered student during the next academic quarter/semester for summer work
- Student workers must meet the enrollment requirement for the entire quarter.
- Recipient of work study award based on financial need and must be admitted into a degree program.
Additional Qualifications
- Competency with MS Outlook, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Hootsuite, Google Analytics, WordPRess, Photoshop and other Adobe Products
- Excellent communications skills (oral and written)
- Excellent organization skills
- Detailed - oriented
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
- The analytical ability for research and data summarization / reporting
- Ability to tell a compelling story in a brand-specific voice
- Keen interest in pursuing career in a non-profit, with a particular focus on media relations, digital media, marketing and public relations
- Experience with social media - writing, copyediting, proofreading, editing pictures and planning
Availability / Schedule
- 20 hours a week in a office environment
Payscale
- $12.00 a hour
Special Instructions
- Requires a drivers license
- Ability to multi-task and work with set priorties
- Must be able to adapt to the situation to help work in team environment
- Physical / mental processes include: writing, problem solving, analytical reasoning, organizing
