About UC Blue Ash Academic Support Team

The Academic Support Team assists in the administration and operational activities of the academic departments and the Dean’s administrative suite at UC Blue Ash College. This position will report directly to the Associate Director of Academic Affairs at UC Blue Ash and will work alongside other team members.

Position Responsibilities

The Student Associate serves as the first point of contact and is a vital resource for all visitors to the Dean’s Suite. Working closely with the Program Managers, the Student Associate assists with the following responsibilities:

  • Welcomes and assists visitors at the Dean’s Suite
  • Manages office supply inventory
  • Plans, coordinates, and sets up events
  • Provides support at departmental information sessions
  • Assists with 25Live event requests
  • Supports faculty projects as needed
  • Answers and directs phone calls

Position Details

This is a part-time student position requiring approximately 10 hours per week, with occasional evening or weekend hours as needed. The position pays $11 per hour. Subject to availability, flexible scheduling opportunities may be offered.

Minimum Requirements

  • Enrolled at least part-time at UC or will be a registered student during the next academic term.
  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Completed at least one semester as a student at UC Blue Ash
  • Upholds the highest standards of confidentiality and respect for privacy
  • Demonstrates strong communication skills and a positive, professional attitude
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel
  • Experience providing excellent customer service, managing data, and/or maintaining records 
  • Ability to provide and receive constructive feedback effectively

As a UC student employee, and employee of an Ohio public institution, if hired you will not contribute to the federal Social Security system, other than contributions to Medicare. Instead, UC employees have the option to contribute to a state retirement plan (OPERS, STRS) or an alternative retirement plan (ARP).

Hourly Pay Rate: $11.00 an hour
