Job Overview

The Lindner College of Business is seeking a full-time (100% FTE) Sr. HR Coordinator and/or HR Coordinator to support human resources functions for various departments in Lindner. Title and salary will be determined based on qualifications and experience. This role will perform a variety of human resources support responsibilities relating to the operational effectiveness and efficiency of Lindner College of Business. They will ensure the delivery of excellent customer service, emphasizing communication, teamwork and collaboration, and seeks ways to support and develop standardized processes and common procedures. The position will have a heavy focus on Lindner Employee lifecycle management and recruitment.

 

This position will have the option of a hybrid work schedule (3 days in the office/2 days work from home) for those with a residence within OH/IN/KY following 90 days of training. Residence must be in the tri-state area within reasonable distance to UC Main Campus to have ability to report to campus as required. Remote work arrangements are subject to change in accordance with university policies.

Essential Functions

Serve as Subject Matter Expert for Human Resources functions and best practices for established processes for the HR team. Serve as information resource and consults with faculty and staff on HR policies, procedures, processes, and performance management.

• Consult with department leadership to understanding recruiting and hiring needs. Recruit and hire candidates, including creating positions, job postings, sourcing candidates, making offers, screening references, and onboarding.

• Interface with departments and candidates to process initial appointments.

• Complete onboarding and exit processing for faculty and staff.

• Advise employees regarding leave policies and employee rights and responsibilities while interfacing with UC Leave Administrators, Department Administrators, and employees to ensure leave is administered per guidelines. Consult with departments on Reductions in Force, For Cause, and Without Cause terminations.

• Must maintain confidentiality with high level of integrity. Responsible for accurate and timely storage of HR-related documents in accordance with UC’s Records Retention Schedule.

• Coordinate payroll processing for organizational units. 

• Assist with implementing policies to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. Coordinate project management functions for a unit.

• Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.

Required Education

HR Coordinator:

  •  Bachelor's Degree or Four (4) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Sr. HR Coordinator

  •  Bachelor's Degree or Seven (7) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education. requirement.

Required Experience

Sr. HR Coordinator 

  • Three (3) years of Human Resources experience.
