Job Duties:

  • Performs study procedures (phlebotomy, lab processing, collecting and shipping of specimens, temperature, pulse and BP, medical history, height and weight).                                 
  • Performs screening of subjects, schedules subject visits and procedure according to the protocol requirements.  Must be knowledgeable of study protocols and all study requirements.
  • Completes study documents both in the subject's chart and Case Record Form.  Prepares reports for supervisor/Principal Investigators.  Obtains informed consent (IRB/HIPAA) from subjects and enrolls subjects into various MFM clinical studies. Completes and submits documents and reports to the Institutional Review Board.              
  • Communicates with Investigators as well as the representatives from pharmaceutical companies.
  • Works with Data Managers to ensure accuracy of data collection.              
  • Educates patients/subjects as to the requirements of their participation.  Also, obtains the required investigator signatures for all results for labs/procedures.               
  • Notifies appropriate personnel of any abnormal results.              
  • Obtains continuing knowledge about the changing requirements of clinical research.              
  • Follows FDA and GCP guidelines while completing tasks.              
  • Assists other study coordinators/staff in MFM as needed.              
  • Types technical and confidential correspondence for MFM medical research and maintains all clinical trial regulatory files.  Completes various reports.              
  • Coordinates the advertising needs for MFM clinical trial with the Principal Investigator/supervisor.              
  • Orders supplies for the department/trials as needed.  Processes invoices for payment.               
  • Assists other study coordinators/staff in MFM as needed.              
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

 

Minimum Requirements:   Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field and 2-5 years of experience.

 

Preferred Requirements: Candidates with phlebotomy training and Spanish fluency preferred.
