The University of Cincinnati Counseling and Psychological Services (UC-CAPS) is looking for a Clinical Social Worker to become a part of our energetic, multidisciplinary, collaborative team of mental health professionals.

 

Summary:

Under indirect supervision from a designated administrator, this position provides comprehensive clinical, consultative, emergency and case management services reflecting the needs of a diverse student body, following all relevant national association ethical standards and state and federal laws regarding service delivery, record keeping, documentation, and other professional activities.

 

Primary Duties:

  • Provide psycho-social diagnostic, brief counseling, and support services to a diverse student body (i.e., intake, evaluation, counseling, urgent care, and case management)
  • Assess psycho-social situations, interpret, and provide necessary treatment to students, patients and/or families
  • Provide consultation to faculty, staff, family and the university community
  • Counsel students or families in problem-solving
  • Serve as liaison to various university departments; follow-up and make appropriate community resource referrals
  • Perform related duties based on departmental need

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work or related field, with two (2) years of supervised post-masters experience. State of Ohio Social Work license is required.
