Job Overview

Research Scientist to conduct research involving novel solid phase materials from a group of uniform materials based on organic salts (GUMBOS) in the research group of Dr. Isiah Warner.

Essential Functions

20% Syntheses of novel solid phase materials from a group of uniform materials based on organic salts (GUMBOS) and investigate the use of novel solid phase materials for analytical applications.

 

20% Perform research in the area of protein chemistry and nanotechnology while mentoring and assisting student with developing analytical methods.

 

20% Provide support for graduate and undergraduate students on research involving protein separations using SDS-PAGE. Collaborate with graduate student and undergraduate student in the areas of their research.

 

20% Assist in writing proposals to support research. Assist in directing the ongoing research of graduate student and undergraduate student. Represent Dr. Isiah Warner in his absence during travels or attendance at meetings.

 

Required Education

PhD and/or MD required.
