Job Overview

As one of the oldest medical schools in the country, the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine (COM) has a reputation for training best-in-class health care professionals and developing cutting-edge procedures and research that improves the health and clinical care of patients. In partnership with the UC Health academic healthcare system and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, College of Medicine’s faculty are transforming the world of medicine every day. The Department of Radiology is a top-tier department with world-renowned faculty and staff.

 

A full-time research data analyst staff position is available in the  Wright Center of Innovation in Biomedical Imaging, led by Dr. Michael Knopp in the Department of Radiology at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.  This position will have work assignments that  include an extensive portfolio of data science task including scripting and the use of AI, ML and DL of imaging and imaging analysis data/, the quality assurance of nationally collected data, and communication, both internally and externally. Provide trouble shooting, technical assistance, and coordination for a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.

Essential Functions

  • Design, develop and/or maintain a research-focused information database, including integrating data from existing University and national data systems.
  • Perform scripting, prompting and/or coding.
  • Assist with various tasks associated with assessment of studies, analysis, and evaluation of academic and non-academic topics.
  • Conduct and/or support survey research analysis, including administration and logistics, compilation of data results, and presentation and visualization of results.
  • Assist in peer institution analysis and benchmarking activities through querying state and national databases.
  • May provide low-level project related  IT support and serve as a liaison to other units/offices.
  • May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (.

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field such as Engineering, Statistics, Math, Computer Science or related field.
  • Seven (7) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Required Experience

Three (3) years of experience in managing imaging related large data sets, analyzing statistical techniques and software, and reporting data in a meaningful format.

  • Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
