About the Department
The programs within the University of Cincinnati's College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP) are, year-after-year, ranked among the very best in both a world and national class. Job Overview
A part-time Research Associate position is available in the Extended Reality (XR) Laboratory of Professor Ming Tang, College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning.
Essential Functions
- Collaborate with XR lab’s partner teams and learn from the domain experts in building safety and risk assessment
- Utilize analytical thinking and skills to identify possible solutions for evaluating building roof safety.
- Assist in designing and developing machine learning models, assessing their performance, and creating an image database for AI training
- Evaluate model performance and develop an image database for training
- Perform data analyses and reporting on the quantifiable assessment data related to roof damage and other roof conditions
- Will also have the opportunity to be involved in research grants in collaboration with leading industry companies.
Required Education
Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, computer science or related field.
