The College of Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Hematology and Oncology, is recruiting a full-time Research Assistant or Senior Research Assistant. Rank is commensurate with experience.
Essential Functions
- Perform daily research experiments.
- Data acquisition and analysis.
- Assist in animal colony management and animal husbandry.
- Apply research principles for various assignments.
- Accomplish assigned results for projects/studies, or for significant aspects of larger, complex assignments.
- Assist in establishing test controls, criteria and research standards.
- Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.
Minimum Requirements
Research Assistant:
Required Education
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Four (4) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
Required Experience
Additional related work experience may be required depending on field or discipline.
- OR -
Senior Research Assistant:
Required Education
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Seven (7) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
Required Experience
- Three (3) years of relevant experience.
- Additional related work experience may be required depending on field or discipline.
