Job Overview

The Office of Undergraduate Admissions at the University of Cincinnati is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Regional Admissions Coordinator to lead our recruitment efforts. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Recruitment, this role is crucial in executing our strategic recruitment plan, building strong connections with prospective students, and driving enrollment growth.

 

This hybrid role, with two in-office days at our Uptown Campus and three remote workdays, involves representing the University of Cincinnati at on-campus and off-campus events, including high school visits, college fairs, and community outreach activities. You will counsel prospective students and their families on admission requirements, academic programs, financial aid, scholarships, and campus life.

 

The Regional Admissions Coordinator will collaborate closely with the admissions team to ensure effective messaging and outreach, while analyzing recruitment trends within the Indiana market to inform future strategies. This position supports the University of Cincinnati’s goal to grow our student body to 60,000 by 2030.

Essential Functions

  • Represent the University of Cincinnati at college fairs, high school/community college visits, and other recruitment events, both on and off campus.
  • Advise prospective students and their families on admission requirements, academic programs, financial aid, scholarships, residence life, student organizations, and campus activities.
  • Develop target markets, including community-based organizations, high school counselors, parents, and prospective students, while maintaining a database of prospective students.
  • Serve as a liaison between campus and regional recruitment efforts to align goals and strategies.
  • Respond to inquiries via written, phone, email, and in-person channels, meeting with visiting students and families.
  • Develop and present programs to assist students and parents on financial aid, registration, housing, orientation, career development, and other enrollment steps through individual appointments or group workshops.
  • Analyze recruitment plans for the assigned territory, exercising fiscal responsibility in managing travel expenses. Evaluate applications for admission, making holistic admission decisions based on comprehensive information.

  • Utilize CRM and other marketing tools to communicate with and engage prospective students via text, email, and phone, while maintaining records and preparing reports.
  • Analyze institutional and external recruitment data to target efforts for successful enrollment outcomes.
  • Stay current in the field through professional development and engagement with colleagues.
  • Contribute to a work environment that values and respects diversity and supports skill development for engaging with diverse cultures and backgrounds.
  • Perform other essential duties and responsibilities as assigned to meet the University’s enrollment and recruitment objectives.

Required Education

Bachelor’s Degree

Required Trainings/Certifications

Valid driver’s license with an acceptable record

Required Experience

Three (3) years of relevant experience.

Additional Qualifications Considered

• Commitment to a diverse applicant pool and student body and the ability to work with people from other backgrounds. 

• Experience in project management and customer service, and familiarity with customer relationship management systems.
