Job Overview

The focus of this position is managing contract compliance of the university's Food Services agreements.  Areas of emphasis include: routine food safety audits, communicating with students and parents, and compiling and tracking data.
 
This is a second shift position.  Typical workday hours will be 1 p.m. – 10 p.m., Monday - Friday, and occasional weekends.  Limited remote workdays (up to 10%) are an option upon discussion with your supervisor. ServSafe certification will be required within the first year of employment.

Essential Functions

  • Conduct and document facility reviews in support of upholding board of health standards and managing food services agreements.
  • Compile and summarize documentation of feedback received regarding the food services program. Perform program needs assessment and make recommendations.  
  • Manage customer communications with meal plan holders including reviewing and responding to emails, updating and maintaining the food services website, and creating and distributing email blast communications.
  • Assist in maintaining food services facilities through arranging deep clean and other maintenance support projects with outside vendors.
  • Assist in project management.
  • Assist in compiling data and benchmarking reports.
  • Approve and monitor expenditures, prepare budget requests and financial reports.  
  • Act as liaison to internal departments, external entities and community organizations.
  • May prepare and edit reports and/or newsletters and develop publication materials.
  • May provide direct supervision to student staff.

Required Education

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Seven (7) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Required Experience

  • Three (3) years of experience in program development or business administration.
  • May require supervision experience.
