Job Overview
Assist in the administrative and financial operations for the Student Financial Aid Office specifically in the area of scholarships and study abroad. Serve as liaison with the UC International office and other university offices. Participates in the development of study abroad policies and procedures based on best practices. Ensure scholarship funds are disbursed to students.
Collects and analyzes study abroad data relative to awarding. Uses institutional reporting software and data analytic tools to create and publish queries, dashboards, reports and metrics for use as appropriate to support planning and operational needs.
This position will offer flexibility for a hybrid remote or fully remote option for applicants with a residence within OH/IN/KY. Fully remote or hybrid remote work arrangements are subject to change in accordance with university policies.
Essential Functions
- Manage, design, develop, modify and present programs.
- Perform program needs assessment and make recommendations.
- Recommend, write, and maintain policies and procedures.
- Maintain budget, prepare contracts, approve and monitor expenditures, prepare budget requests and financial reports.
- Act as liaison to internal departments, external entities and community organizations.
- May prepare and edit reports and/or newsletters and develop publication materials.
- May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.).
Required Education
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Seven (7) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
Required Experience
- Three (3) years of relevant experience
Additional Qualifications Considered
- Experience in One Stop Student Services, Student Financial Aid or advising students is ideal.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft office products.
- Experience and comfortable with student information systems.
