Job Overview

Responsible for awarding, monitoring and/or reconciling federal, state, and private grant and/or student and parent loan programs. Develops and coordinates quality assurance programs for the Student Financial Aid Office related to either grant or loan programs. Reports to either the Assistant or Associate Director for Federal and State Programs. This position will offer flexibility for a hybrid remote work arrangement (a set schedule of two required on-campus and three work-from-home days each week) for applicants with a residence within OH/IN/KY. Remote work arrangements are subject to change in accordance with university policies.

Essential Functions

  • Manage, design, develop, modify and present programs. Perform program needs assessment and make recommendations.
  • Recommend, write, and maintain policies and procedures.
  • Maintain budget, prepare contracts, approve and monitor expenditures, prepare budget requests and financial reports.
  • Act as liaison to internal departments, external entities and community organizations.
  • May prepare and edit reports and/or newsletters and develop publication materials.
  • May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.).
  • Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.

Required Education

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Seven (7) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Required Experience

  • Three (3) years of relevant experience

Additional Qualifications Considered

  • Experience in One Stop Student Services, Student Financial Aid or advising students is ideal.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft office products.
  • Experience and comfortable with student information systems.
