Job Overview
The Office of Undergraduate Admissions at the University of Cincinnati is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented planner to lead and support transfer student visit experiences and events. This role supports UC's goal of enrolling 60,000 students by 2030 and aligns with the university's "Next Lives Here" ethos, emphasizing access, innovation, and inclusiveness—especially for non-traditional and transfer student populations.
This position will focus on the planning, promotion, and execution of events and visit opportunities specifically designed for prospective and admitted transfer students. The ideal candidate will understand the unique needs of transfer students and be passionate about creating seamless, engaging experiences that drive enrollment and foster belonging within the Bearcats family.
Primary responsibilities include leading the development, coordination, and execution of all transfer-focused campus visit programs and events, including transfer-specific open houses, campus tours, admitted student events, and virtual sessions. Program Manager will collaborate with internal partners, including academic colleges, advising teams, and student support services, to ensure program alignment with transfer student interests and success pathways. This position will also create and manage event communications for transfer audiences, including event invitations, reminders, follow-ups, and promotional content tailored to transfer students, their families, etc.
Utilizing the university’s CRM (Technolutions Slate), the Program Manager will build, schedule, segment, and deploy event communications and automated workflows; ensure messaging accuracy, personalization, and audience targeting; monitor engagement and registration data; conduct post-event assessments; and contribute to continuous improvement through feedback. Successful candidates can expect to represent the Office of Undergraduate Admissions in internal meetings and community-based outreach efforts focused on enhancing transfer student access and engagement.
Essential Functions
• Manage, design, develop, modify and present programs. Perform program needs assessment and make recommendations.
• Implement policies and procedures.
• Maintain budget, prepare contracts, approve and monitor expenditures, prepare budget requests and financial reports.
• Act as liaison to internal departments, external entities and community organizations.
• May prepare and edit reports and/or newsletters and develop publication materials.
• May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e.), hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.).
• Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time
Required Education
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Seven (7) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
Required Experience
- Three (3) years of relevant experience
Additional Qualifications Considered
• Commitment to an applicant pool and student body and the ability to work with people from other backgrounds.
• Experience in written communications and customer service.
• Familiarity with customer relationship management systems, specifically Technolutions Slate.
• Candidate must be willing and able to work select evenings and weekends (5-10 times per year).
