About the Office of SCCS

The Office of Student Conduct & Community Standards (SCCS) promotes a scholarly community by helping students understand their rights and responsibilities throughout the Student Conduct Process. We encourage student learning, growth, and accountability through a fair and equitable process that provides students with a safe and supportive environment to develop into holistic and global citizens.

Job Overview

 The Program Manager of Student Conduct & Community Standards will serve as a liaison between students, faculty, staff and community members. The Program manager will help administer the conduct process and support the SCCS office in the management of student conduct cases. The Program Manager of the SCCS is a full-time, 12-month position, which will involve some evening and weekend commitments. There may be an opportunity to work remotely once a week.

Essential Functions

• Provide operational, administrative, case management, and clerical support to the SCCS staff.

• Serve as a student database Maxient administrator responsible for creating and deleting new user accounts, tracking sanctions, running reports and assisting with database management.

• Assist with seminars, classes, workshops, and programs offered by SCCS.

• Manage office inquiries, scheduling, and information requests directed to the SCCS office.

• Gather, manage, and maintain sensitive data including reports, sanctions, and education/outreach in compliance with FERPA.

• Supervise, develop, and evaluate student workers.

• Receive, process, and follow up on background checks for the office.

• Create accessible communications, reports, website updates, and other internal and external communications.

• Administer surveys and collect feedback for assessment on the Learning Outcomes of the SCCS office.

• Collaborate with campus partners on projects and programs.

• Reviews/reports SCCS Clery data and works with the University’s Clery Coordinator.

• Perform related duties based on departmental need.

Required Education

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Seven (7) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Required Experience

  • Three (3) years of relevant experience

Additional Qualifications Considered

.• Experience working in a college and/or university setting.

• Experience working with students of diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds.

• Knowledge of case management system software.

• Experience creating accessible communications, reports, website updates and other external communications.

• Ability and familiarity with using data to create reports using Excel or similar software program.
