UC Clermont invites applications for a Director of Accessibility Resources & Testing Services position.  This is a full-time position that will develop and direct support services for students with disabilities.  The position reports to the Sr. Director of Student Affairs & Services.  UC Clermont is a regional campus of the University of Cincinnati, located in Batavia, Ohio with an enrollment of approximately 3000 students. 

 

Job responsibilities will include:  coordinate implementation of accommodations for students with disabilities; counsel and advise students regarding academic goals, accommodations, and academic progress; confer with vocational counselors, academic advisors, veterans affairs, and faculty regarding student accommodations; serve as an advocate; design and implement data collection and assessment strategies regarding academic progress and graduation rates; familiarity with e-accessibility and alternate material production; develop and recommend an annual budget to support established goals and objectives; serve as a liaison to Clifton and UCBA Accessibility Resources Offices; ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADAAA), Section 504, Section 508, the National Voter Registration Act, etc.; provide regular training opportunities to faculty and staff on pertinent disability topics; and maintain confidential information and records.  The position will also oversee Testing Services which includes supervision of staff; administration of tests; management of Testing Services budget; development of policies and procedures for Testing Services; preparation of reports related to advising and testing; and collaboration with faculty and staff as necessary.

 

50% - Administrative and programmatic oversight; direct oversight and supervision of day to day operations, and service delivery; develop/review policies and procedures for delivery of services; represent Accessibility Resources &Testing Services and UC Clermont on College or University committees; troubleshoot problems identified by students, faculty, or staff.

 

30% - Ensure accommodations/support services for students with disabilities; coordinate reasonable accommodations and support services; interface with faculty, academic advisors, and other staff regarding disability related issues.

 

10% - ADAAA and Section 504/508 Compliance; provide information, resources, and training concerning compliance with the ADAAA and Section 504/508 concerning students.

 

10% - Performs other duties based on departmental need

 

Qualifications

 

Bachelor’s degree in counseling, vocational rehabilitation, special education or a related field and at least one year experience at the postsecondary level serving students with disabilities are the minimum qualifications.

 

Master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling, counseling, social work, education, special education or a related field and two years’ experience at the postsecondary level serving students with disabilities.  Strong analytical, organizational, and student service skills, excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills; and the ability to interact with students, faculty, staff, and departments throughout the University.  Prior experience with conversion of alternate materials, proficiency and comfort with technology, familiarity with testing services, and work experience at the two-year college level are preferred skills.

 

Minimum Requirements
 

Bachelor's degree with three (3) years of experience; -OR- Associate's degree with five (5) years of experience; -OR- seven (7) years of experience.

 

Experience must be in program development or business administration. Experience must include at least one (1) year of supervision.
