Job Overview

The Program Coordinator of Visits and Events in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions will, as part of a team, plan and execute both in-person and virtual events to recruit and yield prospective students to the University of Cincinnati. The Program Coordinator will plan, implement, and execute on and off campus recruitment programs including but not limited to: building and monitoring event communication and registration in Technolutions Slate (CRM), collecting and analyzing participant feedback, vetting off-campus venues and caterers; collaborating with Enrollment Management's Business Manager to negotiate and set up contracts with off campus vendors, and communicating with academic college and campus partners to ensure university-wide participation in admissions programming. In addition to event planning, the program coordinator roles will support the UC Preview and Tour program by supporting 10-15 student staff members, providing assistance to students regarding admissions processes, procedures, forms, deadlines, and other pertinent requirements, and coordinating all accessibility services requests for university visit and events. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, have a problem-solving mindset, be flexible, motivated, and possess excellent customer service skills.

Both positions will offer flexibility for a hybrid remote or fully remote option for applicants with a residence within OH/IN/KY.  Fully remote or hybrid remote work arrangements are subject to change in accordance with university policies.

Essential Functions

  • Design/create and conduct seminars, classes, workshops or programs.
  • Develop program objectives and monitor quantitative and qualitative data on progress toward objectives. Review objectives to identify problems and solutions, prioritize solutions and develop action steps for program improvement.
  • Provide financial administrative support for program initiatives.
  • Develop, administer and analyze assessment/evaluation questionnaires. Compile statistics and prepare reports.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to recruit students and program participants.
  • Interact with staff faculty, external agencies and other university departments.
  • May conduct research and analyze relevant literature, other benchmark information to develop grant proposals, new program ideas and propose program changes.
  • May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.).

Required Education

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Five (5) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Required Experience

One (1) year of program coordination experience.

Additional Qualifications Considered

  • Experience with utilizing CRM: Technolutions Slate or similar software.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully plan, implement, and execute events.
  • Ability to take initiative to plan, organize, coordinate, and perform work in various situations when numerous and diverse demands are involved; Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; Works well both cross-functionally and independently.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

  • Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
