The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Cincinnati, College of Medicine is seeking a Program Coordinator who, under general supervision from the Student Program Director and Business Administrator, plan, design, evaluate, modify and coordinate medical student programs in the department of OB/Gyn.  

 

The mission of the Department is to educate and train future obstetrician/gynecologists, advance the specialty of obstetrics & gynecology, promote the health and well being of women and their pregnancies, contribute to the knowledge of the specialty and serve as an example as to the proper conduct of the specialty of obstetrics & gynecology.

 

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Provide program and curriculum support for 3rd and 4th year medical students rotating in the department of OB/Gyn
  • Organize student advising meetings with medical students interested in OB/Gyn careers
  • Coordinate department shadowing program for undergraduate students interested in OB/Gyn careers. 
  • Process visiting medical student applications for 4th year electives.
  • Provide administrative support to student members of the Women’s Health Scholar’s program and the OB/Gyn interest group.
  • Attend department and College of Medicine committee meetings related to medical student education. 
  • Prepare program reports as needed for accreditation and monthly committee meetings.  This includes surveys, MS Word and MS Excel documents. 
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree with one (1) year experience; -OR- Associate's degree with three (3) years experience; -OR- five (5) years experience.  Experience must be in program coordination.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Microsoft Office
