Job Overview

The College of Allied Health Sciences is searching for a full-time Program Coordinator to provide administrative support to the Respiratory Therapy Programs, the Advanced Medical Imaging Program, and the Clinical and Health Information Sciences department.

This position will support the University’s mission and commitment to excellence and diversity in our students, faculty, staff, and all our activities. The Program Coordinator will assist with student recruitment activities and respond to any program-related inquiries. In collaboration with Program Directors and Program Manager, the Program Coordinator will assist with developing course schedules, ordering courses, textbooks, and course evaluations, tracking student progress through programs, coordinating the graduation certification process, and maintaining the assigned program webpages. This is an on-campus position during training, with the possibility of 1-2 remote hybrid days.

Essential Functions

  • Work collaboratively with the programs and College faculty, staff, and students to achieve program goals.
  • Respond to program-related inquiries from current and prospective students, faculty, staff, and the general public.
  • Collaborate with Program Directors to develop course schedules, and order courses, course evaluations, and textbooks.
  • Work collaboratively with Program Manager and Program Admissions Chairs to create, coordinate and manage student admissions using central admissions systems such as CAS.
  • Use academic management systems (e.g., PeopleSoft products, Catalyst, Slate, CART, e-curriculum) and learning management system (e.g., Canvas) to assist program operations.
  • Assist with student recruitment activities.
  • Manage databases to track student progress through programs and coordinate graduation certification process in collaboration with Program Director, College, and Program Manager.
  • Manage School listservs and other electronic communication formats (e.g., Jot forms, Student Community Page).
  • Run reports as needed for program management and accreditation purposes.
  • Maintain programs’ websites in collaboration with college staff.
  • Maintain programs’ files and archives, including electronic databases.
  • Serve on departmental and college committees as needed.
  • Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can change at any time.   

Required Education

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Five (5) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Required Experience

One (1) year of program coordination experience.

Additional Qualifications Considered

  • Strong oral, written communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to work with others collaboratively to find solutions.
  • Skills in Microsoft applications, particularly Excel.
  • Prior experience with educational and recruitment database systems, such as Catalyst, PeopleSoft products, Slate, CART, e-curriculum, and Canvas Good communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Flexible and adaptable.
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Aptitude and desire for learning new software and programs.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at once and successfully prioritize responsibilities.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and problem solve to meet task deadlines.
  • Demonstrated commitment to cultural diversity, equity, and inclusion.
