Job Overview
Handles daily print operations, basic finishing, and job ticket management within a university print shop. The individual in this position will develop foundational knowledge of digital printing, print job processing, and finishing techniques while ensuring quality and efficiency in print production. This role requires familiarity with Web Order Site workflow (or related software) and basic troubleshooting for print and finishing equipment.
Essential Functions
- Follows job tickets to ensure print orders are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Monitor tasks to ensure correct information, proper print quality and formatting of print jobs such as paper and color.
- Assists staff with large finishing equipment such as cutting, folding, drilling, laminating, and binding equipment.
- Performs hand-finishing tasks such as scoring, stapling, shrink-wrapping, book binding
- Assembles multi-page documents, ensuring proper collation and alignment.
- Assists in packaging completed jobs for delivery, ensuring accuracy and proper labeling.
- Uses ordering system to review, print, and update job tickets.
- Verifies job specifications before printing, checking for missing or incorrect details.
- Assists customers with walk-up orders and questions, while maintaining excellent customer service.
- Works with team members to organize incoming orders and ensure timely completion
- Assists in maintaining a clean and organized workspace, including inventory control.
- Participate in basic training sessions for additional print and finishing techniques.
- Demonstrates basic knowledge of computer skills.

Required Education
High School Diploma or GED
Required Trainings/Certifications
Valid driver’s license.
Required Experience
- Six(6) months of relevant work experience Knowledge of Web Order Site, Fiery Command WorkStation, or similar workflow systems.
- Excellent customer service skills Familiarity with digital presses, bindery equipment, and print shop operations.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow job instructions precisely.
