Job Overview

The P&G Digital Accelerator@UC is seeking a Biochemist/Molecular Biologist to help drive Product and Process innovation through the optimization of High- Throughput RNASeq capabilties. The successful candidate will help design and execute next- generation RNASeq experiments with the goal of significantly reducing the cost and  increasing the throughput of our ongoing efforts throughout the Company.

Essential Functions

  • Collaborate with scientists at the University of Cincinnati as well as Procter & Gamble to develop next-generation molecular capabilities.
  • Experimental design, laboratory execution, data analysis, and statistical quality control.

Required Education

PhD Degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Molecular Genetics, or closely related field required.

Required Experience

  • Experience with standard molecular techniques, including RNA isolation, quality control, and RNASeq, preferably in an Illumina NextSeq or NovaSeq platform environment.
  • Strong experimental design and troubleshooting skills.
  • Data analysis and quality control, including standard RNASeq pipeline and statistical analyses

Additional Qualifications Considered

  • Strong “wet-lab” skills coupled with in silico data analysis and QC skills.
  • Deep understanding of molecular protocols and capacity to “tear down” protocols, identify opportunities for improvement, and development of brilliant next-generation solutions.
  • Experience with robotics and high-throughput systems.
  • Experience in multivariate statistics.
  • The individual must be a team player with a “Roll up your sleeves” attitude and able to partner with a multi-functional team to define and execute against experimental requirements
  • Be able to effectively communicate complex technical results through both presentations and reports to stakeholders with a range of technical and business backgrounds
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
