Job Overview

Dr. Yujie Sun in the Department of Chemistry and Dr. Jingjie Wu in the Department of Chemical Engineering currently have multiple postdoctoral positions available immediately. This position will support the University’s mission and commitment to excellence and diversity in our students, faculty, staff and all of our activities.

 

Job Summary and Overview: The main research project is focused in the areas of electrocatalysis, electrochemical reaction engineering and process, and electrochemical system design. The successful candidate should possess excellent experimental and analytical skills as well as strong verbal and written communication abilities. Additionally, the successful candidate should have demonstrated the ability to work collaboratively with team members of diverse research backgrounds, skills, and perspectives.

Essential Functions

  • Conduct research experiments within pre-determined research scope and methodology.
  • Gather and analyze data and develop new ideas that promote current research.
  • Prepare data summaries, reports, manuscripts and presentations of research results.
  • Participate/assist in manuscript writing for publication in scientific journals and/or presentation
  • Lab maintenance, including equipment maintenance and ordering of supplies, as needed.
  • Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.

Minimum Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or closely related fields.
