The Primary Care Network is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide primary care services at a busy adult outpatient practice in Clifton, Ohio.
Essential Functions
- Perform appropriate history and physical for complex, acute, critical, and chronically ill patients.
- Diagnose disease or study medical conditions using techniques such as gross pathology, histology, cytology, cytopathology, clinical chemistry, immunology, flow cytometry, and molecular biology.
- Order and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic tests.
- Prescribe appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities.
- Monitor the effectiveness of interventions.
- Collaborate with other providers and members of the health care team in delivery of care and make appropriate referrals when needed.
- Educate patients and families about medical conditions and treatment plans.
- Facilitate staff, patient, and family decision-making using evidence-based practice.
- Participate in education of nurse practitioners, nurse practitioner students and medical students.
- Perform related duties based on departmental need.
Required Education
Master’s Degree in Nursing and graduation from an ANA approved Nurse Practitioner Program.
Required Trainings/Certifications
- Valid Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license to practice in the State of Ohio.
- Valid DEA license.
Required Experience
Three (3) years advanced practice nursing experience.
