Job Overview

The College of Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Digestive Diseases is recruiting for a full-time Nurse Practitioner. This position will support the University’s mission and commitment to excellence and diversity in our students, faculty, staff and all our activities.

 

Essential Functions

  • Estimated clinical efforts will include two 4-hour outpatient inflammatory Bowel Disease clinics each week. The clinic sessions will primarily be in the UC Health Medical Arts Building (other UC Health Clinical sites as needed).
  • Assist the Associated Medical Officer in implementing and growing a robust IBD program at UC Health and managing the anticipated influx of new IBD patients, and determining if additional patient care or procedures are needed from subspecialist (luminal, liver, or pancreas).
  • Participate in teaching activities for our students, residents, and fellows.

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Nurse Practitioner: Master's degree in Nursing, graduation from an ANA approved Nurse Practitioner Program, and an active NP license in the state of Ohio.  
  • Experience in inflammatory bowel disease or similar digestive disease programs.

 

Additional Qualifications Considered

Three (3) years of nursing is desired.
