Job Overview

The Manager of Academic Programs and Compliance is a vital member of the Office of the Vice Provost for Academic Affairs, responsible for ensuring that the university meets specific state-mandated and other legally required academic reporting obligations. This position supports the Vice Provost for Academic Affairs by compiling, analyzing, and reviewing essential data, developing efficient reporting processes, and participating in key committees related to academic reporting and compliance. The manager also supports accreditation and curricular operations to maintain the institution's compliance with external requirements.

Essential Functions

  • Assist the Vice Provost for Academic Affairs in compiling, reviewing, and organizing data required for producing and submitting state-mandated and other legally required academic reports.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain processes and systems for effective and efficient tracking of reporting deadlines and monitoring the progress of report-related tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to all mandated reports, ensuring timely and compliant submissions.
  • Serve as a member of various committees alongside the Vice Provost for Academic Affairs, contributing expertise and support necessary to complete mandated academic reports.
  • Collaborate with the Accreditation and Curricular Operations team to support all aspects of compliance associated with mandated reports.
  • Communicate effectively with campus stakeholders to gather required data and ensure the accuracy and completeness of reports.
  • Stay informed of changes in state-mandated and other legally required academic reporting obligations, updating internal processes and records as needed.
  • Provide guidance and training to relevant faculty and staff regarding compliance procedures and reporting processes.
  • Assist with additional duties and projects as assigned, adapting to evolving unit needs and responsibilities.

Required Education

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Seven (7) relevant years of education, experience and/or other specialized training can fulfill the minimum education and experience requirements

Required Experience

  • Three (3) years of related experience

Additional Qualifications Considered

  • Three (3) years of experience working within a higher education setting.
  • Experience with accreditation processes and curricular operations in higher education.
  • Familiarity with state and federal regulations impacting academic programs and reporting.
  • Proficiency with data management and tracking software.

  • Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
