Job Overview

As one of the oldest medical schools in the country, the UC College of Medicine has a reputation for training best-in-class health care professionals and developing cutting-edge procedures and research that improves the health and clinical care of patients.

 

The College of Medicine, Department of Emergency Medicine is looking to fill three (3) Instructor of Clinical positions. These positions will support the University’s mission and commitment to excellence and diversity in our students, faculty, staff and all our activities. An Instructor at the University of Cincinnati is expected to teach, have interest in productive scholarship or creative achievement, and willingness to collaborate with students and faculty for the betterment of the University. 

Essential Functions

Clinician/Teacher 

  • Demonstrated interest and accomplishment in emergency medicine clinical patient care.
  • Preference will be given to an individual with demonstrated leadership skills; chief residency training or similar accomplishment during residency training is preferred.
  • Demonstration of interest and accomplishment in bedside clinical teaching of medical students and residents (emergency medicine as well as other clinical services) is necessary.
  • Academic productivity such as original research papers, abstracts, and chapters is also preferable.

Minimum Requirements

  • Emergency medicine residency training of 4 years or the equivalence by experience.
  • Board Certification in Emergency Medicine or eligibility by training.
