Job Overview
As one of the oldest medical schools in the country, the UC College of Medicine has a reputation for training best-in-class health care professionals and developing cutting-edge procedures and research that improves the health and clinical care of patients.
The Department of Internal Medicine is hiring a full-time Financial Analyst 1 or Financial Analyst 2. With guidance from supervisors, this individual will monitor, analyze, and report on financial data.
Title will be commensurate with experience.
Essential Functions
- Monitor and interpret financial data in the development of cost analysis and reports.
- Prepare financial/statistical analysis reports.
- Perform budget analysis and assist in the development of budgetary forecasts.
- Prepare and assist in budget-related statistical analysis, estimates and financial reports.
- Assist in the development and input of financial transactions into university systems.
- Conduct financial feasibility studies on new programs by using financial modeling systems and statistical programs.
- Understand university financial policies and be able to apply those policies to financial transactions, and/or provide guidance to those who seek to apply those policies.
- Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.
Minimum Requirements
Financial Analyst 1:
Required Education
Bachelor's Degree must be in accounting or related field.
Required Experience
Related finance or accounting experience.

Financial Analyst 2:
Required Education
Bachelor's Degree must be in accounting or related field.
Required Experience
Two (2) years of related accounting experience.
Additional Qualifications Considered
Experience in accounting, finance, or analytics is ideal.
