The University of Cincinnati (UC), College of Engineering and Applied Science seeks applications for a Financial Administrator II, to work in the College Business Office. This is a full-time position with a comprehensive benefits package. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing administrative tasks within a unit that provides financial oversight for all units in CEAS.

Responsibilities

  • Processing routine financial requests from college departments and administrative units
  • Performing purchasing functions for administrative units including ordering, creating requisitions, and reviewing posted payments
  • Manage internal and external billing processes
  • Financial resource for student groups, includes processing reimbursements and payments to students groups
  • Asset management
  • Maintaining college financial records in compliance with university recordkeeping policies, this includes managing electronic files
  • Working with UC systems – UCFlex (SAP), Concur, and ESM (online contract management system)
  • Oversight of purchasing card processes and assisting administrative units with report preparation and review and providing independent review tasks
  • Ensure compliance according to university, state, federal, and local regulations.
  • Monitor the financial status of unit programs and other budget allocations
  • Prepare financial/statistical reports
  • Perform related duties based on departmental need

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with two (2) years’ experience; - OR- Associate's degree and four (4) years’ experience; -OR- six (6) years’ experience
  • Degree must be in accounting or related field with related accounting experience
  • Incumbent must possess the business/fiscal experience to be fully proficient in performing most or all work assignments.

Ideal Qualifications

  • Experience using SAP and Microsoft Office products
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and to multitask
  • Incumbent should possess solid customer service skills with a  positive attitude. 
     

Skill Level

Requires basic knowledge of finance area, including standard financial principles and terminology, theories and practices

Duties are of minimal to moderate complexity and require some degree of fiscal, problem solving, training, and team coordination responsibilities
Degree of responsibility for interpretation and communication of information ideas, and instructions.
