Our Resident Education and Development (RED) team is responsible for providing leadership in the development of a positive community within the residence communities. Our goal is to be a partner in students' educational journey through an intentional, educational and vibrant residential experience!
Job Overview
The Business Officer of Student Affairs is looking to hire multiple Financial Administrator 2 positions from this posting to provide support to both the Center for Student Involvement and the Resident Education and Development offices. The Financial Administrator 2 will be responsible for overseeing the planning and supervision of the fiscal administrative activities within a designated functional area.
Essential Functions
•Oversee daily processing and accounting functions; ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with university, local, state and federal requirements and standard accounting and audit procedures including all compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.
•Proficiency in preparing budgets, collaborating with functional units to develop forecasts, to monitor and report on financial results.
•Comprehend and enforce the University’s financial policies and apply these policies to various financial transactions and offer guidance to leadership.
•Monitor the financial status of budgetary allocations.
•May coordinate personnel functions for an functional area.
•Perform related duties as assigned or departmental need.
Required Education
- Bachelor’s Degree must be in accounting or related work.
- Six (6) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
Required Trainings/Certifications
Required Experience
Two (2) years of finance or accounting experience.
Additional Qualifications Considered
•Detail oriented and organized
•Strong analytical skills
•Ability to multi-task and prioritize
•Experience with Microsoft office (Power BI and Excel).
•Experience with SAP.
•Higher Ed Experience
