Job Overview

The CECH School of Education is seeking to hire a Financial Administrator 2 to contribute to the day-to-day administration of the School’s business operations. This person will primarily support the School of Education’s post-award grant administration processes. This person will also assist with the general financial operations of the School. This is a hybrid position.

Essential Functions

    • Coordinate and monitor fiscal administrative duties.
    • Assist in the development of unit policies and procedures.
    • Monitor the financial status of unit programs and other budget allocations.
    • Implement policies to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
    • Post award grant administrative duties including award set up and management for financial and regulatory compliance, meeting regularly with Principal Investigators (PIs) for expense reporting and projects, and processing reports and transactions, including subcontract activity for the full lifecycle of sponsored program administration.
    • Prepare reports.
    • May coordinate personnel transactions for an operating unit in a limited capacity.
    • Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree must be in accounting or related work.
  • Six (6) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Required Experience

Two (2) years of finance or accounting experience.

Additional Qualifications Considered

⦁    Experience in post-award grant management.
⦁    Experience in preparing financial reports. 
⦁    Customer service experience.
