Job Overview

The Office of Enrollment Management Business Office is seeking to hire a Financial Administrator 1 to contribute to daily administration of the units business operations. This role will primarily support the finance team with compliance review and approval of procurement and travel transactions, contract and invoice tracking, backup to internal billing review and monitoring fiscal inbox. This role will also assist the Sr HR Coordinator with time keeping, on-boarding/offboarding and entering personnel transactions. This role will also assist the Business Office and Enrollment Management with tracking international agent billing transactions for International Admissions. As a Financial Administrator, you must be customer service oriented, a self-starter, well organized and have the ability to work independently as well as assist others and work as a team. The Financial Administrator will report to the Enrollment Management Business Officer. This position offers a hybrid work schedule for those with a residence in OH, IN or KY. Residence must be within the Cincinnati tri-state area within a reasonable distance to UC Main Campus to have the ability to report to campus as required. Remote work arrangements are subject to change in accordance with university policies.

Essential Functions

 

  • Involved in HR and Payroll Processes, to include but not limited to student hiring, on and off-boarding processes, personnel transaction entries and timekeeping.
  • Process various transactions in Concur and PACE systems (purchasing, travel and contracts)
  • Assist in special projects as needed at the direction of the VP of Enrollment Management and EM Business Office team
  • Coordinate and monitor fiscal administrative duties. Assist in the development of unit policies and procedures.
  • Monitor the financial status of unit programs and other budget allocations. 
  • Implement policies to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. 
  • Prepare reports.
  • May process personnel transactions for an operating unit in a limited capacity. 
  • Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree must be in accounting or related field.
  • Four (4) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Required Experience

Related finance or accounting experience.
