Job Overview
CCPS’s Office of Professional & Continuing Education is seeking an Executive Staff Assistant, Technology. This position would work with UC Aspire–a GED preparation, English language acquisition, and workforce development program funded in large part by the Ohio Department of Higher Education’s Aspire Grant. UC Aspire is located on the Victory Parkway campus, located at 2220 Victory Parkway. CCPS participates in the University’s alternative work program; this position may be hybrid/remote in accordance with UC policies.
The Executive Staff Assistant, Technology is responsible for overseeing UC Aspire’s technology loaner program, including asset tracking, inventory management, distribution/collection, maintenance, policy documentation, reporting, and compliance/security. This role is also responsible for planning and presenting digital literacy workshops for UC Aspire learners, providing occupational skills instruction for learners enrolled in an Information Technology integrated education and training (IET) program, and managing UC Aspire's Computer Lab.
Support is a critical aspect of this position, as the Executive Staff Assistant serves as the technology point-of-contact for program learners and contract instructors. The Executive Staff Assistant, Technology plays an integral role during learner orientation and onboarding events, including the administration of standardized assessments including TABE CLAS-E and TABE 13/14.
This position is part-time (30 hours per week) and requires some evening and weekend hours. This position is contingent on grant funding.
Essential Functions
⦁ Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all loaner technology, including serial numbers, loan dates, return dates, and assigned users.
⦁ Follow up on overdue returns and initiate retrieval protocols; serve as liaison for UC Aspire director in the creation and implementation of policies and procedures.
⦁ Ensure laptops are cleaned, reconfigured, and compliant with organizational IT policies.
⦁ Plan and schedule digital literacy workshops in collaboration with UC Aspire director and in alignment with Aspire requirements.
⦁ Assist with the administration of TABE CLAS-E and TABE 13/14 standardized assessments during orientation events and as-needed in classes.
⦁ Facilitate and instruct weekly online occupational skills training for learners enrolled in Coursera Google IT Support Professional certification course.
⦁ Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.
Required Education
Bachelor's Degree
Five (5) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement
Required Experience
One (1) year of relevant work experience
Additional Qualifications Considered
- Managing equipment checkout programs
- Prior experience in teaching and working with adult learners.
- Experience working with grant-funded programs.
- Experience working with instructional technology and/or managing LMSs.
- CompTIA A+, Google IT Support Professional, CompTIA IT Fundamentals certifications
