Job Overview

Responsible for assisting users with a variety of systems managed by Central Purchasing as well as developing reports within reporting tools and manipulating data in Microsoft Excel.

Essential Functions

  • Along with PACE team, manage referrals from UC’s Help Desk to assist end users with the Purchasing and Contract Exchange software including requisitions, change orders, and contracts routing within the system
  • Assist Central Purchasing buyers with utilizing university sourcing tool
  • Manage system errors and communicate with appropriate parties to resolve underlying technical issues
  • Update system configuration to reflect changing policies and procedures
  • Assess Help Desk trends to determine if additional analysis and action is necessary to improve customer satisfaction
  • Identify and assist in implementation of solution improvements
  • Assist with system upgrades, product enhancement releases, and other functionality updates.
  • Assist with system training
  • Develop analytical reports with reporting tool
  • Assist in vendor contract compliance audits
  • Assist in management of system user roles

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Five (5) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Required Experience

  • One (1) year of experience providing support to e-procurement system.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge and expertise of the end-to-end software provider’s solution and related data feeds.

Additional Qualifications Considered

  • Experience supporting an e-procurement system in higher education or scientific research setting
  • Advanced experience in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables, VLookup, etc.

  • Purchasing related experience

  • Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint or similar website management experience

  • Jaggaer system administrator or other certification.

  • In-depth knowledge of University of Cincinnati’s financial policy

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

  • Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
