Job Overview
The College of Cooperative Education and Professional Studies is seeking a dynamic communications leader to strengthen strategic messaging with internal and external stakeholders.
The Communications Director will be a member of the CCPS Senior Staff team. This position is a full-time, 12-month administrative role and reports to the Dean. CCPS participates in the University's alternative work program; the Communication Director’s schedule is negotiable.
Essential Functions
- Lead and supervise CCPS communication and marketing team (3 FTE).
- Establish cohesive communication strategy, college voice and consistent messaging and implement across multiple mediums/platforms.
- Effectively compile and utilize data to tell the CCPS story; maintain the college’s official data repository.
- Create and implement recurring communication cycles and oversee centralized processes for official data reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
- Oversee development and execution of all CCPS communications, internal and external, including websites, social media, print/digital materials, and newsletters targeting various audiences including current and prospective students and parents, current and prospective employer partners, internal college partners, etc.
- Serve as main liaison to UC Marketing and Communications and Provost’s Office Communications; support and collaborate on centralized efforts including media relations, marketing campaigns, etc.
- Create effective, strategic presentations for college leadership.
Required Education
Bachelor's Degree
Required Experience
Seven (7) years of relevant experience
Additional Qualifications Considered
- Master’s degree in related field.
- Evidence of strong written and verbal skills.
- Minimum of 2- 3 years of supervisory experience.
- Experience with various communication technologies.
- Experience working in large, complex organizations.
