The Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Cardiovascular Health & Disease provides patient care in both the hospital and ambulatory settings and takes great pride in offering services for common, complex, and rare medical conditions.
The Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Cardiovascular Health and Disease at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine (UCMC) seeks a Director, Heart Failure and Advanced Myocardial and Circulatory Services to support the continued growth of heart failure and heart transplant services at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center Campus.
Faculty rank is commensurate with experience.
Essential Functions
- The Director will lead a robust Section of Advanced Heart Failure within the division, collaborating closely with heart failure cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, and critical care anesthesiologists to provide state-of-the-art patient care.
- Faculty in the Department of Internal Medicine at UCMC play key roles in ambulatory and hospital-based care, actively contribute to education and training, and lead initiatives in quality improvement, patient safety, and research.
Minimum Requirements
- Medical Degree (MD or DO).
- Completion of 3-year residency in Internal Medicine.
- Completion of 3-year fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease.
- Completion of 1 year fellowship in Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology or equivalent training experience.
- Ohio State Medical License and DEA License.
- Minimum 5 years experience in heart failure/transplant.
