Job Overview
Under general supervision, perform duties to provide care, cleaning and maintenance of buildings, furniture, and fixtures.
Essential Functions
- Ability to understand and follow instructions and safety procedures for cleaning all rooms and common areas.
- Ability to communicate with managers, supervisors, coworkers and customers.
- Must have strong and positive interpersonal skills
- Clean and disinfects bathrooms. Replenish supplies.
- Empty and clean trash receptacles. Take trash to designated pickup area or incinerator.
- Clean walls, windows, doors, ceilings, shelves, ledges, mirrors, woodwork, vents, window frames and other surfaces.
- Sweep, mop, strip, wax, polish and renew floor surface and clean, vacuum, and shampoo rugs and carpets.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Minimum Requirements
Ability to count, read and write numbers; ability to read and understand warning signs; 3 months of experience or training in institutional or industrial cleaning is preferred. Some positions may require a current valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
- Ability to lift materials weighing up to 70 pounds and be able to demonstrate full range of motion for reaching, bending and stooping.

- EXAMINATION DETAILS: Application/resume will be reviewed by Human Resources to determine eligibility, which will be based on the minimum qualifications listed above. All qualifying applicants will be notified of the date and time of any examination via email. All applicants must show valid photo identification to take the exam. Applicants who pass the practical examination will be notified regarding next steps. Applicants who do not pass the examinations will also be notified via email.
