Job Overview

The Hoxworth Blood Center seeks a motivated individual who will assist in the planning, developing, coordinating, and direction of the Donor Services Department, training programs.  This individual will have excellent interpersonal, oral communication skills, with the ability to present and train groups of various sizes and abilities.  

Essential Functions

  • Design, develop and/or modify workshops, courses, etc.
  • Assess employee competence in applicable skills.
  • Facilitate and/or conduct training.
  • Keep training database.
  • Consult with staff regarding needs assessment and specific training requirements for a particular unit.
  • Evaluate training materials for purchase.
  • Coordinate the daily activities of the training and development area.
  • Select and schedule training programs.
  • Assign work; ensure proper workflow of the unit; act as lead worker. 
  • Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree must be in a related field.
  • Five (5) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

One (1) year of related experience.
