Job Overview
Review, analyze and evaluate positions in the university classification and compensation programs to ensure internal and external competitiveness and consistent pay practices. Provide information, make decisions and recommendations.
Essential Functions
- Evaluate administrative and staff positions in the university’s classification and compensation programs, in accordance with HR departmental goals and in compliance with related rules and regulations.
- Approve personnel change requests (PCR) from business units via HRIS system. Maintain HR systems, evaluate and make recommendations.
- Initiate correspondence and respond to inquiries regarding classification recommendations. Develop and revise job descriptions/classification specifications.
- Assist university offices with implementation of staff reorganizations. Conduct salary equity and reclassification determinations.
- Respond to compensation surveys; conduct salary survey/job market research and summarize results.
- Conduct periodic audits to ensure that job data is accurate and up to date. Assist with researching pay issues.
- Maintain and update the Compensation site on Bearcats Landing. Draft content, as requested.
- Manage and coordinate the HR Compensation mailbox.
- Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.
Required Education
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Four (4) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
Required Experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel including some advanced features.
Additional Qualifications Considered
- Experience in human resources, accounting, business administration of financial analysis.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
- Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
