The College of Medicine, Cancer Programs is looking for a Clinical Research Professional. This position will support the University’s mission and commitment to excellence and diversity in our students, faculty, staff and all our activities.


Under general supervision, provide technical support and assistance for a designated department, program, or central unit. Duties can span a broad range of activities, or can be primarily focused within one or more areas of the clinical research spectrum.


Study Coordination

  • Plan and coordinate clinical research projects
  • Complete training and follow standard operating procedures
  • Screen patients for inclusion in study based on pre-determined criteria
  • Obtain written consent for study participation
  • Obtain, process and ship patient samples for laboratory analysis
  • In conjunction with the investigator, document and evaluate adverse events and response to treatment
  • Maintain interface with professional personnel to insure required clinical research procedures are performed per study protocol
  • Ensure that the patient treatment provided and data collected adhere to the study protocol
  • Work with study sponsors through communications and study monitor visits to ensure compliance
  • Report data to sponsor and respond to queries
  • Participate in weekly team meetings
  • Related other duties, as assigned

  • Gather data
  • Assist in development of reports


Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in related disciple, or equivalent preferred. Must have at least one year research experience, preferably in an academic or clinical setting.
